Republic Services picks up the garbage and recycling in the City of Mineral Point. Please click on the link below to view their instructions and to also obtain their phone number for questions. Garbage pick up day is Friday. On Holiday weeks pick up will move a day later. Recycling items DO NOT need to be seperated. They can be comingled. City Hall needs a copy of the current rabies certificate in order to license dogs.

The Variance,Conditional Use,Zoning Change, CSM is used for zoning changes,certificate of appropriateness, variance request, ETZ zoning permit, conditional use, signs and CSM approvals. The Streets Department will pick up brush on the 3rd Monday of the month between April and November. Residents must put their brush on the terrace or lawn and not in the street. Brush must be placed out by 7:00am on the 3rd Monday of the month and must not be placed out before the Friday before Brush pick-up day (72 hours). They will not pick up yard waste which includes grass clippings, weeds, dirt and other compostable materials. Brush includes sticks, limbs and other woody material. The brush must not be over 6" in diameter to comply with our burn permit. It also must not be over 6' in length in order to safely fit in the trucks without damaging them. Compostable materials can be taken to the Compost site on Old Darlington Road. Any compost found in the curb flow line will be put back in the resident's yard by the Streets department. Brush can be taken to the burn site behind the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant during regular business hours.
